Here are some of my favorite verses for Mother's Day

     M - O - T - H - E - R    
"M" is for the million things she gave me, 
"O" means only that she's growing old, 
"T" is for the tears she shed to save me,
"H" is for her heart of purest gold;  
"E" is for her eyes, with love-light shining,  
"R" means right, and right she'll always be,  
Put them all together, they spell  "MOTHER,"  
A word that means the world to me.

OTHER MOTHER

 

You are the other mother I received

the day I wed your son;

And I just want to thank you, Mom, for the loving

things you've done.

You've given me a gracious man

with whom to share my life;

You are his lovely mother, I am his lucky wife.

You used to pat his little head,

and now I hold his hand,

You raised in love a little boy,

and then gave to me a man.

Legacy of an Adopted Child

Once there were two women who never knew each other.

One you do not remember. The other you call mother.

Two different lives shaped to make yours one.

One became your guiding star. The other became your sun.

The first gave you life, and the second taught you to live in it.

The first gave you the need for love,

and the second was there for you to give it.

One gave you a nationality. The other gave you a name.

One gave you the seed of talent. The other gave you aim.

One gave you emotion. The other calmed your fears.

One saw your first sweet smile. The other dried your tears.

One gave you up, it was all she could do. The other prayed for a child, and

God led her straight to you.

And now you ask me through your tears, the age-old question-

Which are you a product of?

Chewing Gum - to remind you to stick with it and you can

accomplish anything....Phil. 4:13

Mint - to remind you that you are worth a mint to your

heavenly father....John 3:16-17

Candy Kiss - to remind you that everyone needs a kiss

or a hug everyday....1 John 4:7

Herb Tea Bag - to remind you to relax daily and go over that

list of God's blessings.... 1 Thess. 5:18

 

This is my gift to you. May God richly bless you.

This is a verse for a Mom who has lost a child through miscarriage

 

I'm just a precious little one

Who didn't make it there:

I went straight to be with Jesus,

But I'm waiting for you here.

Many dwelling here where I live

Waited years to enter in;

Struggled through a world of sorrow-

A world marred with pain and sin.

Thank you for the life you gave me,

It was brief, but don't complain:

I have all of Heaven's Glory'

Suffered none of Earth's great pain.

Thank you for the name you gave me.

I'd have loved to bring it fame:

But if I'd lingered in Earth's shadows-

Would have suffered just the same.

Don't you fret about me Mommy,

I'm of all God's Lambs most blest;

I would love to be there with you,

But the Shepherd knows what's best.

So Sweet family - don't you sorrow,

Wipe those tears and chase the gloom;

I went straight to Jesus' bosom -

Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born. So one day he asked God: They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless? And God said: Among the many angels, I chose one for you. She will be waiting for you and will take care of you. But tell me, here in Heaven, I don't do anything else but sing and smile, that's enough for me to be happy. Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you everyday. And you will feel your angel's love and be happy. And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me, if I don't know the language that men speak? Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak. And what I am I going to do if I want to talk with you? Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray. I've heard on earth there are bad men. Who will protect me? Your angel will defend you even if it means risking it's own life. But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore. Your angel will always talk to you about me and will teach you the way for you to come back to me, even though I will always be next to you. At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from earth could already be heard, and the child in a hurry asked softly: Oh God, if I am about to leave now, please tell me my angel's name. Your angel's name is of no importance - you will call you angel "MOMMY".
